In 1994, Nora co-founded the Woody Guthrie Archives with Harold Leventhal and Archivist Jorge Arevalo. In addition to managing the Archives and preserving her father's personal materials and original creative works, Ms. Guthrie develops and produces new projects which continue to expand Woody Guthrie's cultural legacy.
Nora has curated numerous exhibits on Woody Guthrie at the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame Museum and the Smithsonian Institute among others. Most notably, Nora was Executive Producer for the Grammy nominated albums Mermaid Avenue Volumes I & II, with Billy Bragg and Wilco and the Grammy Award winning album Wonder Wheel by The Klezmatics.

Art's interest in audio restoration began while attending Queens College. He was playing a Raymond Scott Quintet 78 for his friend Ron Finger. Ron wanted to know why they had to listen to the noise. Art had not previously regarded it as neither objectionable nor avoidable .
In the ensuing 40 years "Shiffy" has uncovered and restored Edison Kinetophone and Warner Vitaphone sound films, and devised improved methods and devices for playing disks, cylinders, and magnetic tapes, belts and wires. When not working in the studio, he's working on, and or running his O gauge electric trains. Or, he's spending time with his Golden Retrievers Satchmo, Hudson & Spencer. Sometimes he multitasks all three! He's been published in American Cinematographer, Audio and the Journals of SMPTE and AES. His website is www.shifrin.net.
